Cacao chia Pudding is a tasty and super healthy way to start the day with no added sugar. Chia puddings are a wonderful nourishing and filling breakfast. With the added pumpkin and hemp seeds, this breakfast is rich in protein, minerals, and essential Omega 3 & 6 oils.
INGREDIENTS FOR CACAO CHIA PUDDING
1 1/2 Tablespoons chia seeds
1 Tablespoons pumpkin seeds
125ml (1/2 cup) water
60ml (1/4 cup) hazelnut milk
1 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1 tablespoons shelled hemp seeds
1/2 – 1 tablespoons maca powder (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground or freshly grated turmeric
Requires planing ahead: Pre-soaking required the night before.
1. Soak the chia seeds and pumpkin seeds in the 125ml (1/2 cup) water over night.
2. Stir a couple of time in the first 10 minutes of soaking to distribute the chia seeds evenly.
3. In the morning add all the other ingredients into the pudding and stir well.
4. Serve with chopped nuts or fresh fruit on top.
Note: If you want to make warm chia pudding don’t soak overnight, instead mix all the ingredients in the morning with hot (not boiling) water and leave for 15 mins with the occasional stir.
